Attached to the back of Outback, Hook and Reel is a decent stop if you want a Cajun boil of seafood. There are a lot of options to fill your boil bag, with a variety of sauces and spice. A bit on the pricey side, but good food. Plenty of parking on the side of the building so no worries there. Give this place a try if you are in the area and want some Cajun.

I recently visited Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar at 2564 Miamisburg Centerville Rd in Dayton, OH, for the second time, and I felt it was time to share my experience. I went there one night just before closing with a friend to grab a quick dinner before heading to a movie. Despite placing our order just minutes before the kitchen closed, the staff was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome. The seafood we ordered was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. It’s clear that they take pride in their dishes, as everything was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. I did have a bit of a hiccup with my first drink; I ordered a regular lemonade, but it didn’t quite suit my taste. However, when I switched to the strawberry lemonade, it was a game changer! It was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Our server was another highlight of the evening—she was friendly, attentive, and ensured that we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was very clean, including the restrooms, which is always a plus in my book. The open bar adds a nice touch, and there’s plenty of seating available, making it a comfortable place to dine. The menu offers a fantastic selection of seafood options, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Overall, my experience at Hook & Reel was enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Cajun seafood in a welcoming atmosphere!

Wow! A great new find. I love shrimp and it did not disappoint. I had the shrimp basket, my husband a had a shrimp po boy. The hush puppies are so good! Out waitress Tatiana (I think) was so kind.

This is the second or third time eating here and it's awesome. Food was perfect. From the coconut shrimp appetizer to the seafood boil and crab meat sandwich. It was all fantastic . And our waitress Keeley did a great job as well.

We came for a seafood boil and had Shelby as our server and she was AMAZING! We showed up right when they opened, as we had a craving but she was so nice and attentive. Genuinely the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. She made our dining experience a pleasure!

I just moved from New Orleans, and it was my first time trying seafood in Ohio. I ordered the Cajun boil and swapped the mussels for crawfish. The shrimp was actually pretty good actually, but the crawfish was just alright. My expectations of crawfish are pretty high since I’m from New Orleans. However, what made the experience was my waitress Shelby. She was a super sweet girl and very attentive making sure that the food was alright and up to my expectations. Thank you Hook and Reel and for Shelby for welcoming me to Ohio!

Andy was fantastic. Food was pretty good. We come from the South and love Louisiana crawfish boils. This definitely hits the spot since we have been homesick. Will definitely come back
